I for one will leave the tuning of my $10,000 motor to someone that knows what they are doing. I have seen several people who ran the sniper stuff, most have chips now.

How is a chip too much work? It takes all of an hour to install it the first time and then its there forever... Its not hard, my wife did hers with no help from me. With a chip you can have a hi idle to help warm ups and to keep the AC cold in the summer, you can have a economy tune, a tow tune, a power tune... anything you want.

like I said, the people I have seen run the sniper have changed later.

Well I feel that the dp tuner will not be tuned to my trucks set up...and I beleave that I would rather have my truck ran on a dyno and tuned that way instead of a "can" tune that is general and not specific to my truck. Nothing agaisnt DP I just want to have a custom tune that is made specially for my truck...that to me is worth the money......just seen and read too many posts about chips and such messing up or not working and most likely I will never get a tuner/chip cause its just to risky for me cause I would not have any transportation if my truck had a problem cause of the tuner/chip. Just a case of no cash flow

My tunes are not "canned" tunes. Your tuner will ask you what you have done to your truck, what you want out of it, and you will have a tune for your truck, your year, your mods. Find me one case of a chip causing a issue with a truck that was not due to install error or operator error. VERY Rare...

Or do like I do, get yourself Auto Enginuity from ITP, do some data logging and then email that file to your tuner. They you have a tune writin as if the man was sitting in your truck.

Superchip, Edge, Hypertech, they all are just "canned" tunes for ALL years of PSD's. From 95 to 2003... And you think there is no changes from then to now?

Ok are you trying to talk me in to buying a DP tuner?....I mean I will have to take a loan out on one cause I dont have any cash flow..I am in transition from military to civilian sector and Have been unemployed looking for jobs. Relax!!! man I was in no way dissing DP tuners, I just dont have the money right now to get anything and also I never mentioned EDGE, BANKS, etc..... so just lay off....I have no doubt you like your DP tuner but dont ENFORCE YOUR VIEWS ON ME, I have my own views about tuners and its MY CHOICE which one I do spend my hard earned cash on.

oh boy, take a step back and regroup guys.. To each his own, maybe someone needs to run a tuner poll to see what's most popular and what works.

Man, I guess I hit a nerve... I am not trying to sell you a DP tuner... Read again, I am just saying your going to spend $500 on the sniper software (the direction you said you were going). I was just throwing options out there... I have spent well over 25k on these trucks in the last few years.

I will leave your thread alone...

No hard feelings CSIPSD......everybody has there own opinion you know, I just am more leanent twards the tuners that I have read about and liked. I dont know much about the DP tuner...I guess I thought is was a straight chip and you were stuck with specific tunes, I had no idea you could have taylored tunes for your truck put on it. My bad..I am not mad.......lol its rymes haha. Anyways I was telling some dude about different airfilters once and giving my honest opinon and then the thread got hijacked by a bunch of 6637 filter mod lovers and it was like my input didnt even count anymore, as you can imagine that situation was a little madening. Anyways I dont want to press my views on you guys, No one got hurt so lets all just relax and drink a few casue its Friday....TGIF.
