Curios what I just saw. A double cab 2wd early 90s body style with a F150 emblem and those were not 8 bolt hubs. Did they make these? The only one I have ever seen. Looked pretty neat.
That the funny thing. They looked like 1/2 ton axles and it wasn't fixed up, conversion. Is the Centurion a fairly stock look or modified. Just facinating.
camdaddy, I live in northern Utah, and there is body style like ours that is f150 crew cab, short bed, 4x4 running around town here it's a red color and i know it;s a 1/2 ton because I have parked right next to it before. If I get the chance to talk to the owner I will, and let you know. it's the only one I have seen.
the centurion package is fairly dressed up. it usually has bucket front seats with a wood center console and the ones ive seen have had centurion badging all over them. also, every 1/2 ton centurion ive seen has had marker lights on the roof. different paint schemes also seem to be the norm for centurions here in new england. they've usually got a multi-stripe almost racing strip going down the sides. the 4x4's ive seen also have all had auto-locking hubs.
That's what is so interesting, this one looked like a regular XLT. No graphics, or customizing. Pretty much stock. Except for the fact it had a gas motor it was really pretty cool. But I guess Ford said the same in '01. Just caught my eye, didn't know such a model existed.

I have also seen a 92-96 style F-150 Crew cab pick up, about a couple months ago. I thought my eyes were deceiving me, so I had to take a second look as it drove by me while I was parked in a parking lot adjacent to a main street in my area. It looked factory too, tu-tone paint scheme red with a gray middle. It was also a 2wd (no front hubs sticking out and a 5 lug wheel pattern) and sat kind of low and had a short box with dual tanks. I did not see any additional badges or emblems, just a plain old f-150 with xlt underneath of it. Pretty neat, but definitely a rare bird at least in the SE PA area.
Guys, they were an option from the factory. My grandfather has one. 96 F150 crew cab short bed 2x4. And it wasn't a conversion. I've only seen three of them. One was actually a 4x4. But my grandfathers is tan xlt trim. It may have been a special order, I can't say. But it's all stock.
