Tires???

Hey there trailer guys,

I am looking for my next set of tires for My X. I tow 8000+ lbs and will use the load raqting of the specified "E". I am torn between the:

BF Goodrich All Terrains
Michelin LTX

I am planning on staying with the stock size of 256/75/16 E

Looking for:

good towing
Quiet ride
Little need for All terrain...

Michelin LTX hands down for 2 wheel drive

They will last longer than the BF

Since I ditched the BFG's and got Michys, I think I'm gonna agree. My E rated tires were done after 40K miles. Namely because of trailering.

I hate my BFG all terrain. I just got in some Toyo E rated going on in a few weeks.

Since you said you have little need for off road and want quiet ride and good towing, skip the BFG All-Terrain and go directly to the BFG Commercial T/As. You can't beat them for price/peformance. They are quiet, ride nicely and are very stable. I just got my third set and love them. They compare very favorably to the Michelins at considerably less cost.

Incidentally, Yokohama and Toyo make excellent tires across the board.
