I have a new 07 F350 PS 6.0 and will be pulling a 3 horse slant with living quarters gooseneck. I do not have the long bed. It is a regular short bed.
Some trailer places have told me it is not good to pull with a short bed, because the trailer will hit the back of the truck. Does anybody have the real answer, and do they make an off set hitch if possible.
1968Mustang,
I have a friend who hauls a 3 horse gooseneck with a short bed pickup. His only issue is blowing out the back window glass if he's backing it too sharp. He's done it twice now.
Don't know if that helps or hinders you, but that's what I know about short beds and goosenecks.
Best thing - Just be VERY carefull when backing or going over large bumps/dips in the road or you will have a major problem. Also check with the trailer mfg to see if they have a solution.
