I have done a search and didn't find what I was looking for. I was hoping someone could tell me the exact location of the VSS wire in a 2004 F-350. I am trying to hook up a nav unit and I need to splice into the VSS for it. Thanks for any help you can provide.
The factory harness in my '04 does not look like that one. I do not have a gr/blk wire in it either. I am guessing that I will have to run a wire into the engine bay to the PCM unless anyone knows where it might be under the dash? Thanks for the replies.
Perhaps you could use a GPS unit for speed. The factory Ford PCM is usually at least a couple miles per hour off anyway. Just a thought.
He is installing a nav system that uses GPS. The nav systems needs the VSS signal to more accurately track position by using GPS info and the VSS signal for better accuracy
What you need is the modified signal. Not the one that comes from the sensor. It has to go through the ABS module if I remember correctly to get modified then goes here and there. I don't have data on the 04. Sorry
