Vss??
I have a bad vehicle speed sensor - intermatic speedo, intermatic ABS light, code p0500. I ordered a new one from rockauto. I went to put it in, and it does not match. This model is listed for my truck. I was under the assumption the VSS was on top of the differential. Is there another VSS on this truck? They also list a differential speed sensor. They also list a ton of rear ABS sensors. What do I need, and where is it?

Yes...the vss is on top of the rearend. It is also the rear ABS. What you may have is the early 99'. Look to see what month it was built. I believe Ford had a mid year design change and several part for a 99' changed after March (I think) of that year. Parts catalog should ask before of after that month.
