conversion from e4od to C6
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site but i see it has a wealth of info. My question is this: I have a 1992 F250 4x4 / e4od. I want to trash the e4od and factory transfer case and replace it with a C6 and NP205 transfer case out of an old 78 bronco. I realize that I will need a new bell housing for the tranny and some metal work for cross member location, but can anyone tell me what other issues I might run into?

The E4od is an electronically controlled trans, so if the computer is not getting the trans' attention is feels it deserves it will thow codes. If your going back to an old trans you might consider doing a stand alone engine management or a carb.

Yes, I realize that I will know longer have the 4th, but I also feel that the C6/NP205 combo is bomb-proof......as I have had this combination before. Thanks for the info, I will keep everyone posted as to how this all goes.
