When I intorduced myself a while back I mentioned I was working on a turbo set up on my 95 F150. Well I thought I would give an update on it. I finished it and started it up for the first time on Tuesday night. I am very happy it fired up the second I turned it over. Idles pretty good, but still needs to be tuned better. I just threw in a quick tune to get it to run.
List of mods
GT-40 Intake swap
36# injectors
255lph fuel pump
adjustable FP reg.
Garrett Turbocharger 57mm
custom plumbing with 3" down and exhaust with single bullit muff.

here are some pics of it. I also have a ton of pic and a first start vid on www.myspace.com/tanterror
Impressive. Who needs a mega dollar kit when you're creative & have a welder. Good job.
Thanks, thats what I said. This is a low buck kit. with turbo I think I have about 6-7 hundred total. I could have gone cheaper but I used steel braided line for everything which added to the total. And the Turbo is a really nice peice, I could have skimped and gone with an ebay special but it would have been much cheaper.
Well I am assuming the stockers in this engine are Hyper-U-Craptic pistons. But I am not 100% sure. I didn't change them. I know FORD put forged pistons in a few years on the mustangs, but who knows. Yeah I have pulled a lot of timing out above 50% load right now. I haven't had a turbo car, but my stang was supercharged for a long time so I am kind of following the same thing I did when I tuned it. But having some issues on this one, I can't get my datalogging to work right at the moment.
finally got around to installing the intercooler... So much better now. I am running like 7 to 8 psi and it pulls really hard. super sleeper. I still have tuning to do, right now only running like 10* total timing, but still is runs real strong.
here are a couple of pics of the intercooler install. Just tonight i got around to putting some expanded metal behind the hole in the bumper, to help protect the intercooler.
