New tires 225/75/r15
Looking at new tires. I was considering the toyo opencountry a/t or the yokohama geolander a/t, which ones do you all think are better(no other suggestions please). I'm running the Toyo's right now, and dont have much to complain about, but i think i want something with a little better snow traction. Which the geolanders look like they can provide, anybody ever use the two and find a prefference. i'm going to use dynamic beeds for tire weight, because they are supossed to cancel all viberations.

My mother has Yokohama Geolanders on her Subaru Forester. They're the stock tires, so I'm not sure if they're exactly the same as what you can buy in a store, but I think so. I was quite impressed with their snow performance when she first got the car, and their wet performance at around 30k miles, the last time I drove the car.
I nicked a sidewall on one of them so I had to get it replaced, I think I paid around $150 for it.
I've heard good things about Toyo, too, though.

Wendell, there is a very good reason why i dont use those. They dont preform well on trucks set up like mine. They hydro plane too easily, the dont take corners good, and i personally dont like thier tread pattern.
Besides the Jap ones are cheaper. If you know where to poke around at.
those g-forces might do well at the track though
what about the bead, has anyone ever used them before?

I've decided to do the 30 day trail with the yokahoma's. i can get all for of them for $101.20 a peice, and they should last around 70K (next 5 years). If i don't like them for any reason, i can return them with no hassel. final tire size 265/70R15

With all those engine mods, I'm surprised you can get rear tires to last more than a week. The tread pattern is what makes the bfg's the bomb, "O', I forgot, you don't wheel your 4x4, you drag race it. Maybe slicks would be more practicle ha ha. Good luck with your yokahoma's mamma, 'cool", it rymes.
