abs light after deep snow
I was in some pretty deep snow in the driveway tonight in 4x4 and my abs light came on. I drove around the block and shut the truck off and the light was not back on. Can deep snow somehow clog the sensors or trip the abs light to come on?? 2000 ranger 4x4.

If your spinning the tires trying to get around and have one front tire not moving and the other one is, it can decide after awhile that the one wheel sensor must be bad because it's not getting a signal. If it comes back on you might have a problem but if not I would almost guess thats it.
If you can find someone that has a scanner that will check the codes go ahead and get them, I bet it's for one of the wheel sensors probably front.

ya i would definetly check the wheel speed sensors, if you cant find a scan tool i would look inside the wheel well to find the wheel speed sensor and disconnect it, brush it off, and reconnect and disconnect it a few times just to clean it off a little bit, a lot of those connectors are sensetive so disconnecting and reconnecting a few times cleans them up a little.
