I rember reading on here somewhere about the roof rack bars rubbing the paint off the top. Anyone care to explain for me?
Next, on the top of the doors where they touch the door seals the paint is wearing off. Why? Its an 04 with just under 70,000 miles on it.
And is there any way to make the rear door go up higher? Mines 2wd and I hit my head on it. 2"-3" longer supports would work without any other problems correct?
Thats bull **** that the paint is comeing off this truck.
Id love to put a 6" lift on it, but its my parents. Id do it, my mom says whatever, my dad says no way in hell. He wont even let me color match the handles or swap the grille or even put a billet in it.

Being a DAD...my advice to you is get your OWN toys and leave DADs ALONE!!!
On the roof rack/paint...I bought my Ex 1 yr old...after learning on here about the tight fit up there...I pulled my bars off and have them in the attic...the clear coat was rubbed a little after just a year!...nothing big but noticable for anyone 7'+ TALL!

Ive got more toys than I can play with. haha
I think Im going to pull the bars off before they do any damage. They havent yet luckly.
the 2wd struts are longer than the 4x4 ones. usually us 4x4 guys swap out and put the 2wd struts because they are longer. but since yours is a 2wd,there is no way of getting it to go any highter other than lifting..
