I picked up my ultra bulbs at the local auto zone.
I have had the silver stars in a couple of vehicles, and have noticed something odd. After a period of time they seam to get dimmer. Meaning after 6 months or so they are not as bright as they are when new. If you replace just one of your silver stars with a new bulb you will notice it looks whiter when you look at the front of the truck.
I noticed this more with my old truck that used the silver star sealed beam headlights that I do with just the replacement bulbs. I put a set of bulbs in an old girlfriends cavalier, and she noticed the difference when she replaced just one a few months later.
I just replace them often. I drive a lot of country roads, and the improved vision is worth it to me.
I put SilverStars in my APC clear lenses... BRIGHT!! They look great, and maintain their brightness for quite some time. My first set of 'em stayed in the truck for about 3 years. They were just barely dimming to a less blue/purple to a liiiitle bit yellow color and i switched em out. But hey, three years running, and never burned out.
And yeah, like someone else said above, im always getting people flashing their lights at me. Man do they get a shock when I pull the brights on em!
