If it's home brewed you better have documentation toprove you paid the roadtax on it, here in MN its about 33cents. And they get as happy as a badger that just came out of a paint shaker if they find you havent paid your taxes
Here in WA the Governor signed bill last year to EXEMPT home brewed Biodiesel, and WVO fuel for personal use from all state taxes. Of course that doesn't affect the fact that the Federal taxes are still theoretically due. Trouble is there is no mechanism to pay them. Though if the info posted earlier in this thread about the Fed exempting 200 gallons per driver per household per quarter is correct, since there are 2 drivers in my household, that's 30 gallons a week. So I'm in the clear with the Feds too - I don't burn even close to that much - more like about half that much.
I live in the great state of New Jersey were it isnt all that great. I pay almost $4 a gallon and hat was during the winter!! I cant wait to see what the cost will be this summer...
