A sin tax and to think in 1982 my Dad got a tax break because he had a diesel. 82 Chevy 6.2L 4x4 he laughed then and said they will find a way to stick it in our butts some how. Hmmm BINGO!
I think I have figured out why they have not been torturing pick ups in NY with dipping. AG/Home Heating fuel is only like 30cents cheaper a gallon here in NY. Must not be worth the trouble. What are the prices elsewhere?
what about marvel mystery oil in the fuel that won't come up positive for off road will it i have never been pulled over for a diesel dipping i know people that have when i lived in east texas because there were some off road fuel pumps you could pull right up to in line with the highway fuel.somebody not paying attention could pump offroad diesel by mistake.
Highway diesel is 2.74ish here in the Rochester area of NY. Ag fuel is 2.38ish rumor mill said just over the border into PA Highway is 2.35ish. It is about a 2 hour jaunt from my place might just go see for myself. Need a road trip anyway and I had better do it before I need a bank loan to get a tank full.

I haven't played with the stuff in a long time isn't it clear or tan?
$2.59??? I payed 3.05 yesterday. And not 10 miles from the pump got stopped and dipped. They also checked with a fluorescent light for glow from the red? At least that is what the Highway patrol said they were doing.
With the roads all needing repaired and tax dollars having to be spread farther every year, all states will be enforcing the highway use tax laws more and more.
Why are they just dipping diesels, because it is so easy to run them on untaxed or other fuel.
Bio and WVO are just starting to gain momentum as fuels.
I think the states will also be enforcing the highway use tax on them shortly.
It seems government moves rather slowly sometimes, but once they move the citizens pay.
I also know the compliance officers here have had training about WVO and biodiesel detection. It is only a matter of time.
Look at all the big trucks on the highway, look at the signs on the back of some of them about how much each of them pay a year in road taxes. 8,000 dollars each is probably a low estimate.
Now think about how much that tax is raising the cost of everything you buy.
