Hey guys,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I am ready to put tires on my truck for the first time and I thought I would seek advice from the vast experience of the forum members. I have stock rims 16.5 and do 99.9% of my driving on asphalt. I am not at all concerned with off road and want something that has good traction, long life and hold in the rain. <o></o>
Price is not really an issue as long as the quality is there.

Thanks in advance.
I have an '02 with stock wheels and am running BF Goodrich AT's size 295/75/16. I like the tread pattern and they provide good traction and wet weather handling.
Whatever you do don't get the type of tires that are straight highway tread, you know the kind like you see on UPS trucks. They like to follow the grooves in the road.
My wife's cousin owns a couple of tire stores in Oregon and he says that Michelin tires give him the least amount of trouble. Fewest warrenty issues, longest life, etc.
I have them on both my Audi and my F-550 and they are some of the best tires that I have ever driven on.
I agree with the above posts about the Michelin LTX, but if you want a little less expensive option,(and don't want your money to go to France) look into the Bridgestone Dualer line, we ran a set for 80k on my wifes Expedition.
I run Firestone Transforce HT on my 4wd dually and have been very happy with them, but the decision was easy because of our fleet price. If I was buying and price was not an issue I would probably go Michelin.
I have just about worn out my Michelin LTX M&S tires (got 60,000 miles on them) and plan on buying six more from Costco as soon as I rob a bank ...they are $177 each installed . I will also be looking at Goodyear Fortera Triple Tred tires (about $50 less each), but rated #1 by tirerack users survey.
Thanks for all the input. The truck has the Michelin LTX tires on it. Looks like I will replace them with the same. Thanks for all the input. Now it's time to find them on sale.

Firestone's here too. I just put mine on in October and my Dad's had his for a few years. Excellent wear, etc.... No complaints, etc...
