This is my first post here and i just wanna say you guys have some sweet trucks ive been looking at the gallery. I have a 93 5.0 XLT and it seems to want to stall esp when i go into reverse, sometimes when i start off after a red light. i took it to a mechanic and he said it was the throttle plate, he cleaned it and it worked good for a while but now its back to its old self, any ideas? does anyone know where it is and how to clean it? also im looking for a tailgate, the one i have now is kind of shot, im on a limited budget (college) my window goes up and down but all the locking stuff and the shell are done. anyone have an idea where i can get a deal on one? thanks guys. Welcome aboard. I am also pretty new to the forum but I bet you will like it.
Have you tried the fuel pressure regulator near the back of the engine and firewall ? Mine had similar prolems as well as surging and that is what it was on mine.

Have you tried the fuel pressure regulator near the back of the engine and firewall ? Mine had similar prolems as well as surging and that is what it was on mine.

Check the idle air control motor. it is located on the throtle body and can get gummed up. you also might want to check the egr which will create idle problems if it doesn't close all the way.
