This was on the computer screen - there was a green zone which shows it to be 'good'. The toe setting was just on the edge of this zone, so although it was supposedly 'good' it was less than ideal (i knew that from the way it was driving). They reset it to dead centre of the green zone - problem solved!
Les Swab in the NORHTWEST...does all that stuff. But this is such a 4X4 oriented area. With some serious clubs around with some real serious 4X4's. There are so many places that align 4X4's here that I would never thought it was an issue anywhere? I guess it all depends on where you live.
Any vehicle should be checked for all four wheels, regardless of whether it's 4x4 or not
I agree. Talking with our Local Les Schwab dealer over the years the disucussion has come up about 4 wheel alignment. Actually its rare to find the rear end out of alignment enough to make a difference. But there have been occasions HE told me that customers were not happy with new tires and the way the car/truck drove. Front end was aligned but the rear out out of alignment. One reason I remember so vividly is because I was AT LES Schawb when the owner of the store was talking with a customer and they were so happy with the way their truck drove. They had complained it never drove right from the factory. The rear was out of alignment. LS fixed that issue. Also thats the reason General Motor quit making the rear steer trucks after only a couple years production. They can't keep the rear in alignment. IT IS A NIGHTMARE for the GM owners with rear steer.

I was wondering about that just the other day... I figured if they stopped advertising it, it was for a reason
Honda had four-wheel steering in the Prelude. I think that lasted a year or two before they stopped.
Another reason GM stopped the rear stearing was due to the fact that Delco wanted way too much for the units. This made the option expensive, reducing the demand.
