Is this right? the dash pad is glued on, and stainless trim you can remove by squeazing the back part, sorry push pin., ? the front window is still in, Will that make it hard to get the pad off, If the pad comes off in one piece can it be covered to look stock The dash pad i have is radio delite is that rare? From the time i found this forum my 66 f100 has started to come apart for resto. I will be removing the cab as soon as i get the interior out Thanks for any help Bill W
From what I know the pads are glued on using strips of glue and not the whole surface. Use a long flexible piece of plastic and windex to run across the length of it a little at a time to keep from destroying. The windex will act as a lubricant but wont stain or soak into it. The less you force it around the better.
So much for the one experiance I had with a dashpad. That also explains why there were a bunch of little holes in the dash itself. For the life of me, the other guy and I couldn't understand why it had them. I will add this bit of info to my brain for future use. Thanks Bill.
