Hi all,
85 150 302 efi automatic, has a history of going through ignition modules (3rdin a year)
Just replaced one and it ran good, shut it off and now it wont start. What should I try? pickup coil?
thanks Alan
This will sound kind of funny but try holding your foot to the floor on the gas when trying to start it. Sometimes especially when it's cold you have to flood an EFI motor for it to start
this has me baffled, replaced plug wires last summer. Last week was driving and it just died, replaced ign. module, started right up ran good, parked it and now no go. Had one loose wire in the wiring just ahead of the module, fixed that last week as well. I am about to look for a chevy lol.
Thanks
Alan
well this morning it fired up, had to use some jumper cables and another shot of ether.
It has been extremely cold the past couple weeks here (northern mich). I have it inside thawing now.
In the past yeaer this is the third ignition module, should I go ahead and replace the dist pickup too?
thanks
alan
After warming it up it started fine and ten minutes later nothing, I replaced the dist with a rebuilt. Seems to have fixed the problem (I hope) lol.
Thanks for your help
Alan
