Can anyone tell me the weight of a SWB 66 F100 styleside (not stepside)? Also on the styleside bed there is a horizontal seam down both sides of the bed. Is it common practice to hide this seam when restoring this style bed? The seam is ugly and deep.
Thanks ..........Ron

Find the public scale in your area and get a weight ticket! Filling the seam is optional for customizing your truck. I think your seam is deep because the sealer installed at the factory has dried and fallen out. I’d just replace the sealer prior to the paint job.

My 64 weighs around 3500#, pretty light considering the that huge Y block up front and all that heavy gauge sheet metal.

I realize it's a diferent body style, but my '67 F100 4x2
was just on a scale the other day and weighed in at 4007 lbs.
That was with about a 1/4 tank of gas and me in it.
