I'm working on my 66 slick and the inside door panels are pretty beat up from add on's, screw holes, scratches and what not.
Basically the complete inside panel from below the window sill to the bottom of the door is marked up, scratched, or has holes from previous add ons/removals.
Short of going to a high end aftermarket, pre-fabricated door panel or the time and effort to fill/sand/fill/sand/fill/sand, well you get the idea,
does anyone -
have suggestions on an inexpensive way to cover the door panels that looks good and will stand up to day to day wear and tear?
I saw a white, late 60's crew cab somewhere in the gallery here where the owner had used headliner material on his door panels. It looked pretty cool. I would suspect though that any large holes would show through unless you at least did SOME touch-up work prior to installing this stuff.
