raptor131 did you have any kind of exhaust system or is it just the stock system minus the muffler and cat? Was the pipe you put in place of the cat bought or made? Really need some feedback on exactly how you did it!

the exhaust is stock . i went to http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...acturers_id=66

and bought the muffler delete pipe and cat delete pipe took truck to muffler shop and for 40 dollars the welded the muffler delete in for me. the cat delete is a "do it yourself" as if you have warranty still you don't want this piece welded. and it swaps out easily in 15min with only a ratchet and some "PB blaster" . i have yet to get the truck up to operating temps to hear it

well guys today was the first day i really did some serious driving after putting the delete pipe on my mbrp system, was honestly a little tough to get the cat out and off my mbrp cool duals setup i had to loosen a lot of the clamps and remove some of the hangers to get my feet in there and pull and push to get the cat off, but all is said and done now, man does the truck sound great now!

Anyone who has done cat and muffler delete on the stock system notice a reduction in EGTs? How is the sound compared to the MBRP straight pipe?

EGT's is what I'm interested in also. Otherwise, why do it? If is doesn't lower back pressure why do it? I tow and that's why I bought the truck. I don't care about the sound. I have no 20 yo babe to impress anymore , she's 42 and she, I, and the neighbors think the truck is loud enough. Just wondering.

it has to lower the pressure somewhat, you are taking out all those restrictive components.
i was under my truck yesterday, look at the cat pipe. curious to find out if the new cat delete pipe from puredieselpower has the hanger rod welded on it, so i can fit into the stock rubber hanger mount on the frame rail?
my cat on my 06, also has a clamp on both sides of it. not sure if all of them are the same from earlier models or not.

the egt's drop half as fast as the boost gauge. LOL i have stock system and put the muffler delete and cat delete. the egt's don't hang very long. as soon as i go idle it drops faster than before. my probe is pre-turbo. i dont have a mrbp system to compare it to but if you lone me one I can get back to you. LMAO

A sound file would be great. Also what is the egt reading at 75mph unloaded, flat?

Stock I run ~800.
