It bolts right in. 4 screws at top, and the pop in brackets at the bottom. Just like the grille you will be taking off.

I received mine in 3 days.

It is a 2005 Ford Original Equipment F250/F350/Excursion grille which has been modified at the bottom to fit around the pre-2005 bumper. The seller does an excellent job on altering them to fit.

It's the best way to achieve the 2005 look without having to change out the entire front end.

It couldn't be easier. You remove the four phillips screws on top of the grill. You gently pull on the bottom of the grill to remove the spring clips. Make sure no clips are left behind. You reverse the above to install. 10 - 15 minutes tops.

10 to 15 minutes? Did you take a break and drink a beer?

You could even do a cheaper route.... or use a different grille. You could also go with a chrome package grille...kinda like a billet only plastic. Or just get the XLT grille. You can get a brand new one for like 170 bucks shipped or the chrome package for 200 shipped...I think the harley one is 230 shipped...somewhere around there. www.powerstrokeshop.com Then with the extra money you save buy yourself a dremel tool and some masking tape. then trim about 1.5 inches off the bottom. I went ahead and did the full conversion though from www.powerstrokeshop.com. There are alot of possibilities.... you could just do the headlights if you like those???

good luck,
Steven

So let me confirm....if you want to change the look of your X from a pre '05 (I have an 02) to look like an 05, you need to change the front grille, bumper and headlights? Do all these pieces bolt onto the existing brackets?

TIA

Yes you can. You don't have to have the header panel. You will have to modify (cut) it so the headlights can fit. Here is how you do that...

http://www.puredieselpower.com/Tech/...Conversion.pdf

Then for the grille. it will mount directly to the top of the header panel with no modifications. But the bottom support...which is pretty much useless can be ziptied back to the header panel using the brackets on the back of the newer grille. Then the bumper will just bolt on with no changes. You will have to pick up the new pig tails for the headlights. Here is a good site that shows how to do the conversion with the header panel. It shows all the part numbers.

http://www.kingkustomstemecula.com/wst_page14.php

You can get all the parts for a great price from www.powerstrokeshop.com I went ahead and purchased the full conversion kit they have that includes everything. It just made it alot easier. Plus if you want to get a harley style grille, or chrome package grille, or the harley smoked headlights...they can put together a kit for you. You can get all this from Ebay but you have to watch out for shipping...that is where they will get you.

good luck,
Steven
