Superchips for 7.0 PSD

I am thinking about the superchips unit for my 7.0 PSD. We have a 01 V-10 Limited and the wife is complaining about the lack of pick-up on the PSD (can you believe that?!!) Anyway, I was thinking about a Superchips programmer. I do not plan on any other mods, like CAI or exhaust, or guages. What is your experience with the Superchips and would you run it without exhaust temp or boost guages? Thanks in advance

How could she complain? You're already a liter ahead of everybody else with the diesel!

I think you mean 6.0L PSD.

What year is this 7.0 PSD? Maybe it is an overbored motor?

The 7.0 was a limited production. Only one was made. Feel luckly.

Sure juice it with a chip, you wife is not going to pay attention to the gauges, you do not need them. New tires quicker for sure

My bad. I was so shocked that she wanted more "off the line performance" that I mis-typed. It has a 7.3L PSD. You are right - she would not pay attention to the guages. If they need to be watched to keep from breaking the beast, I am probably better leaving it alone.

First thing I got were gauges. That way I know what is happening before things go south. Gives me a baseline. Well, you could get a 80HP econo tune from DP-tuner and be happy. Give him your PCM codes and he will send you a pre-programmed unit and you send your old one back.

The subject of this post is the 7.3L PSD. Made a mistake in the original post. Have another EX with the V-10 that she used to drive. I guess she got used to racing from the stop light!

Ok 7.3 it is then, I have SUPERCHIP 3 stage. I do fair amount of show off with the high setting. Last night I found myself in a race with a DOD$!@#( the new charger or something) and I did manage to beat the crap out of it. Any ways, I suggest you also consider a 6 stage chip Bcoz it comes with high idle setting which is huge plus point to warm up and slow moving traffic.

For a multi position chip, I would get DP-Tuner tho. Not the Hyperjunk or superchips.
