Got a friend who needs a new upper portion of his 50 F-1 cab. I believe; but not 100% sure that 48-52 are the same cab's?
Your expertise will answer my question for sure.
Thanks;
Mitch
Thanks guys; that's the type info we need to know; My buddy got a 50 with a very rusty facial portion (not proper name); area above the front windshield; The roof and drip rails are soild; just the piece inside the cab above the windshield is shot; plan on cutting top off a rotten floor cab and weld back into place. Knowing the difference between the years is a great help.
Might just be easier to fab one up from a piece of sheet metal. Unlewss he's doing a stock restoration, he wouldnhave plenty of freedom to nmodify the design to something a bit easier to build or he could modify the headliner so that the part you are describing is no longer needed. All it really does is hold the headliner, rear view mirror, and sun visor(s) in place. IT's not there for any particular structural purpose.
