Went ahead and ordered the one off of Ebay. $23 w/shipping
The good news is it was 5 deg F yesterday morning and my truck fired right up w/no complaints!
The bad news is that my pipes froze so I spent 10 hours replacing frozen/broken pipes and installing base board heaters in crawl spaces.
eBay must be selling more plugs because of this tread. I also bought one!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Yea, I figgure if I ever sell anything on ebay I will post in a couple of forums,
" Hey, you guys know anything about this?, thinking of getting one myself!"
Man,, I have shopped on ebay as well and for the most part it been an ok experience, but somthing like this for the truck, I would pay a few extra bucks to make sure I have the right part and one that was made for it. like I said previouse, I got my plug from Williamsburge Ford for $70 and some change and I was assured I got the right one with the right fit not some universal plug
what all have you done to your F250? just currious cause I am in the process of doing some mods to my new 07 EDGE A2 programer with the Juice Platinum and 63 series K&N cold air intake system and havent decided on what exhaust system to go with, still trying to find out more on that as far as what works and whats recommended. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks Wop.
I just installed mine today. Worked great and yes I bought it of eBay. Why pay $70-$80 bucks from ford when you can get it for $24.00 delivered to your door. Like stated before it is just an extension cord. I can buy 3 of these to one of fords. Just my 2 cense.
Well, Your Absolutely Right And I Cant Argue With You There. So How Long Did It Actually Take You To Install, And Is There Anything We Should Know Or Be Aware Of If Anyone Else Decides To Install It On Their Own? Did Everything Fit Like It Was Suppose To, Well Guess What I Am Asking Is Was It Factory Or Another Make?
The installation took about half hour. I was in no hurry and there was even time to drink a beer. The end plugged in with no problems. I used an electrical grease to prevent corrosion and keep good contact. The rest is all a matter on how you want to route the cord to come out the front bumper. I used zip ties and just keep it away from hot and moving parts. No rocket science needed just common sense. There are no makings on cord to say were it came from. It did not say made in China so that is a good thing. I went back one hour later and yes I could feel heat in the block.
