i have a block heater instaled in my truck up no cord any one where i could get one for what type of cord i need i have tryed the big three all ready with no resautls
do they look like 115v plugs like your normal house plug or like a 220v plug like your drier or range, do you have a computer or laptop, if you have a computer unplug the powersuply going from the back and look at where the power suply plugs into dose it look like that ?
make shure the wire is not to thin or you will burn it up, i forget how much electricity mine pulls but i know it would burn up a 16gua. wire for shure .
I would not try that. The block heater should have 3 pins, with ground in the middle.
Like this (might be a little different):
ah1988, you're not understanding what Joe is asking about. He needs the cord that plugs into the block heater itself, not an extension cord.
Joe, go to Napa, they list a whole bunch on their website. I'm not sure which ones will work, but they should be fairly universal. The cord end on my 84 Jetta fits the F250 as well. Most of the variety at Napa is different length cords and some differences in the direction the cord points.
joe you can get them at napa thats where i got mine from... cant remember the part # off hand but there are 2 different lengths that you can get for it
