Its a pic of a 1965 Mercury Econline. Sure looks like the same tailgate to me

Bobby,

It looks close but notice the top of the Econoline PU looks wider and flatter than the eBay gate. Maybe it's from the vintage conventional pickup.

Nice catch Bob,
Got to be something weird since its larger than a standard 1/2 ton and smaller than a 3/4. Unibody maybe?

Its another one of those gates that would look great hanging on the wall in the shop

I was able to just find the top photo of a '60 Merc, it looks like the correct one.

The one the eBayer has for sale must be a rare piece, I would only assume one for the Econoline has to be even rarer.

I am keeping an eye on the one he has to see how much it goes for. EBay is funny, you can miss out on big money by not having the correct wording in your ad. If you state the wrong year you could miss the whole targetted audience.

I know what you mean.

I try to search for the obscure, just in case I stumble on something not listed right that I can "steal"

I watched a dual wiper set up for a 48-50 truck go for $75 the other night. It jumped $25 in the last minute or two.......dang! I'm glad it doesn't rain much down here

Dang, are double wipers that rare? My truck came with them, and I think the dealer's brochure I got with the truck said the second wiper cost like 25 cents...

I'm having a heck of a time finding the set up. Its a different set up for the 51-52 trucks.

I guess I'll fabricate my own cause I'm not going to pay $75 for something that I'm going to modify to accept and electric motor anyway.

Bobby,

You have to remember the stock radio location won't allow you to use the '51-52 electric wiper setup. '4-50 only had vacuum setups using an extension arm to connect the stock vacuum motor to the passenger side wiper. I installed the '51-52 unit in my '49 but had to alter it after installing a stock factory radio. I moved the motor to the area where the vacuum motor was mounted and ran a rod over to the passenger's side.
