78 bronco tailgate window make me nuts!!!
anyone know where to get the keyswitch replacement parts for a 78 bronco tailgate window? will other years parts work inside it? mine doesnt operate with the key i can see the switch and mechanical lever inside is screwed up... also i need to reconnect the wires to the dash switch since they were severed off.. so i use jumper wires into the tailgate now, and have a windows that rises up lower on one side... how could these tailgates on these be so damn frustrating.. im about to put a plexiglass one in with a handle to lift it up and down manual if this isnt fixable.

Try www.lmctruck.com They have many internal tailgate parts for your truck. I assume you still have the key cylinder...its only the rods/mechanisms that are screwed up? The other thing is to try the boneyard.

bought my replacement from broncograveyard.com This was after local l/s couldn't help me, just my luck. Graveyard part was just what i needed, and it didn't break the bank - been several years ago, I do not remember exact price. Check website, and they are FTE sponser...
BTW, Fix the orginal glass - not the plexi.....it will be worth it in the long run..Just 2 s-cents
