Has anyone out there ever heard a dealer state a remote start kit for a 07 SD will void the warranty??
I have not heard that, but I have personally been involved in a sale at a Honda dealer, where they tried getting my sister in law to bite for the factory installed alarm.
They said if you get an aftermarket alarm installed and they mess up the wiring then it will void the warranty. We had the aftermarket one installed anyway. No problems.
I think the sales people just use this as a scare tactic to get you to pay for their overpriced alarm..
I have installed many remote starter on many makes and model and the only thing i have been told from the dealers is that if the remote starter caused the problen then it would not be covered. For instance if the remote starter kept the starter motor engaged and damaged the starter and or flywheel it would not be covered. Any other wiring problems caused by the started would not be covered. Never had any problems and never heard any conflicts with factory warranty
