The best way is remove the speedometer and pull the chime out of the back of it. It is a black round plastic piece about 3/4" in diameter,there is instructions posted somewhere, dry a search .
Push in the latch on the door itself. So it thinks it’s closed. To unlatch it pull and hold door handle and use a screw driver to flip the latch to open.
Pink wire maybe?? In the ignition cylinder assembly. I'm going off memory here. Disconnect it and tape up the end so it doesn't contact anything. Doors can stay open with no chime BUT chime will sound if you leave parking or headlights on.

I have this problem in my 03, something is all jacked up with the column wiring. Where is this pink wire? My ignition always seems to think that the key is in the ignition unless it's twisted to JUST the right spot. And it doesn't stay there. So I'd like to spoof the truck to think the door is always closed but still have it chime when the headlights are on.
