Exhaust

I have a 2000 Ford F-250, 7.3 Powerstroke. I'm new to the diesel world and still learning. I am thinking of putting on a dual 5" exhaust system. Does anyone know the pro's and con's of the new exhaust system? Will it help my truck or hurt it? Any information will help, Thanks!

Still, I haven't seen a 5" dual. I know of Mikes 4" dual on Ebay. Curious to know who makes them and quality of product.

A friend of mine has a mechanic shop and has recently started exhaust work. He has advised me he can get the 4" and 5" dual exhaust kits for my Powerstroke and would put them for the cost of the kit only (advestisment for him). The 5" kit is a little cheaper than the 4".

fire fighter,

Buyer beware, duals are tight to fit and they have to be RIGHT to fit too!! If he has 5 inch for less than 4 inch something is WRONG!!! Get the MBRP and be done with it, they fit and sound good and have been tested by many many members. Call us if you have questions on them.

I agree with Mark I recently installed a MBRP 4" cool duals from the turbo back on my dually and it was a super easy install. I honestly don't know how you could fit 5" duals around everything the 4" is tight.

I enjoy my 4'' Banks. Great quality, easy install, and great instructions. Looks good sounds good. I just don't see any reason to have a 5 inch sewer pipe under my truck

Uhhh, I was able to justify a sewer pipe and I'm pretty happy with it.

On a seperate note, after shoehorning the 5" in, I am not so sure how it will work with a dual outlet without removing the spare?? Not an option for me. Gotta get by that driveshaft and fuel tank.

I thought about the 5" but went with the 4" because I like duals I am going to get a slide in camper in the future so that ruled out stacks.

My 4" MBRP Duals fit great, but 5" duals WILL HIT THE shocks... No doubt about it. There is no performace gain from Duals on a PSD... No performance gain from 4" to 5" eather... You just cant push any more exhaust thru a 3" hole on the turbo...
