Bright light abusers

Are you one of them? You know, the guy who refuses to dim his brights after you flash yours at him?I dont know what it is,but it seems that more and more people refuse to turn off their bright lights.I am thinking of inventing a new weapon,,The Turd slinger! Then every time some moron blinds me with his lights I can sling a cow, horse, mule turd at his grille as he passes by.I was thinking about having it land dead center of his viewing area of the windshield but, knowing my luck he would lose control and hurt some innocent bystander and he would walk away without a scratch.Ok,Im done ranting!

P.S. If you chose to purchase my Turd Slinger, feel free to use any type of turd that you prefer.

those people are the most aggravating self centered lower than snake poop in the bottom of a wagon track azzholes i can imagine. when i get one of them coming at me and i am in the rattletrap, i flip the highs to remind them.if they do not turn them off, and no one is directly behind them, i have a secret weapon. my plow lights. the regular high beams, the plow high beams, and the overhead high beams.
all three sets of lights are 170 watt xenon white light bulbs. when i flip the toggle switch for plow lights, i can light up an area about 500 yards wide at 100 yards away, and straight on for over 3/4 mile.

they get the message real quick. .

Turd slinger? I'll be the first to buy one. Your rant isn't just limited to you, I also hate when people have their brights on, and especially with these new brighter "night hawk" lights that are available to these idiots.

I hate those new "night hawk's" too. Between the brights and full-time fog lights .............really ticks me off.

I've thought about adding a spotlight to assist these idiots that need all that extra light, but with my luck, the idiot with the brights would be a cop.

yea, they do get their attention.

when i am in the crown vic and get one of those jerks riding along side and behind me, i move the side mirror till it reflects back into their eyes. they either turn the highs off real quick, or pass me.

I was meeting a car one night and had my lights on dim, he did also and flashed his brights at me once, then again so I thought he was unhappy with my lights so I put mine on bright and left them.
He was still flashing his lights when we met.

Also, you guys who lift your trucks more than a couple of inches need to get your low beams re-aimed. Left at the stock aim, they'll glare right into the eyes of people driving most passenger cars.

It also doesn't help that its too easy for people to buy higher wattage bulbs that usually just produce more glare than usable light. Headlight housings are designed for bulbs within a certain wattage range and filament design. More light or an improperly placed filament (that's why the bulbs are keyed, BTW) just produces more glare.

Your lights were obviously bothering him and flashing your brights and returning to dim would have been the simple, courteous thing to do.

And the HighBeams coming up behind me really torque my shaft. Blinding lights in the big side mirrors.

My Fix was to wire the rear bumper halogen backup lights to a inside switch. They're only 2x 35Watts, but turning those on really surprises the jerks, they usually back off and dim the lights.

I finally gave up with the auto HL dimming feature[ on my 88 Lincoln.
Trying to get it set to the right distance ended up being bothersome to truckers after they passed me.

Could it be that he was just trying to let you know that there was a cop up ahead and to check your speed? That's done around here and it's often appreciated.

Ditto!

My truck sits up high enough that my headlights shine right into the rear window of cars when Im behind them. I can see reflections all over the inside of their car. Also...when passing them at night, the inside of their car looks like daytime, and I can see their face clear as day.

Oh well...my truck doesnt have a lift on it either...
