Are you, as a truck owner, going to tell me I can choose not to drive a truck? I can chose to drive something else to make my living? So you have the secret to transporting goods and making a living without using vehicles that weigh more than everyone else's?

I can suffer in silence, but I must endure someone's thoughtlessness and run the risk others are put through when this guy doesn't dim his lights? That's got as good a chance of happening as Dono and Carl splitting a malt at the soda fountain one summer evening. That's why people get ticketed for failure to dim. That's why people in NY get ticketed for flashing. So I just don't dim until the other guy does. They do have dimmer switches for a reason. If he won't use his, why should I use mine? Turn about is fair play, right? This is why I almost advocate semiannual driving tests.
I think the point you missed is two blind drivers is not better than one.

I have dummies that flip their lights at me all the time thinking that my highs are on. They don't realize I guess that with a 4" lift I am up high and they are down low. I installed a Brite Box just for them so when I flip mine to show them I am in low they get the message, brite and clear.

I have many people think I have my brights on since I added the L projectors heads to my truck with silverstars in them. I have them set right but I still get flashed at a lot. All it usually takes is a flash from my brights to stop them. I never keep my brights on even if the other guy does. No need to have 2 blind drivers on the road.

Rather, blind drivers on one side of the road.

Honestly it's pretty rare that an OE foglight annoys me. The Mustangs have never bothered me personally. ~'05 chevy trucks is another story...
I also have seen other Stang GT's with fogs and dims on and you are right they are not that brite. I believe the problem is that people see two large round lights on each side of the car and they automatically assume the brites are on. If I just have the fogs on or just dims then no problem. But with the dims and fogs, people get ****. It is impossible to use fogs and brites. Well impossible with out some sort of modification. I hardly ever use my fog lights here in southern Nevada. It almost is never foggy here.

P.S. If you chose to purchase my Turd Slinger, feel free to use any type of turd that you prefer.

I like the Turdheads that finally dim their lights after a friendly flip of the hi-beams .... then their fog/driving lights come on & I gotta look at 4 freekin headlights in my face ! That's when my driving lights ( two 4" aircraft seal-beams under the bumper) come on to help them see .... then their hi-beams come back on .... then the second set of aircafts in my grill come on. If ya got dimmer switches & driving lights ... have enough brains to know how to use them !!!!

One of my pet peeves too King T !

I hate it when you have to remind an oncoming driver to dim his lights by flashing your brights a second time and as he draws near, he blasts you with his brights. People like that should spontaneously combust.

i'll admit, after driving a couple hours sometimes i'll forget about the highbeams, if someone gives me a friendly flash i'll shut the brights off.

with that said i expect nothing less from anyone else if i give them a flash. i dont start flashing when their still a mile away but if they're getting close enough then i give them a single click of the dimmer switch. if i get no respones then i'll give them another click.

i dont put up with crap around here, if they want to be a jackass then i will return the favor. if they're closing in with their brights still burning then i lose it. i'll click on my fog lights, 55wat HIDs aimed very high and wide on purpose. then i sway back and forth in my lane stomping the floor mounted dimmer madly. usally they get a big middle finger out the window as they drive by.

if worse comes to worse then i reach for my so called secret weapon, a magnet base 200,000 candle power spot light, it stays pluged into my lighter at all times. i'll stick it to the dash and blast it through my windshield all over their car.

if i cant see then their not gonna see, nothing would make my day like seeing a bright light abuser going into a ditch.

I try to let them know with a quick tap of my HB's.
If they don't respond, oh well. It is not killing me. it is not blinding me. I can see the edge of the road fine and that keeps me on the road.
They are past in a few seconds and life goes on.
I'd get frustrated in a hurry if I tried to cure rudeness one stranger at a time. I am sure not going to spend money on exra lights on my rig just so I can teach someone a lesson that they should have learned long ago from other drivers, if they are in the habit of not dimming for oncoming traffic.
Sheesh.

edit: and don't let the little "motto" in my sig fool you. It is there because I think it is funny, not because it is a way of life.

thats why you have a paper cup full of soda in your left hand with your window down. as they pass you throw it out at the right second. Try not to let anyone behind you see this, it might be illegal.............but illegal is only a word

Several years ago I had a long haul trucker friend and he said he had a aircraft landing light on his truck for when he was out in the middle of nowhere and wanted to light the country up for things like deer and as a attention getter when people wouldn't turn their aftermarket roll bar lights off.
I have a problem with some of these motorcycles that believe that they should drive with their brights on so that they can be seen. A friend of mine does with his Gold Wing and uses it as an excuse.

We have all read about road rage incidents, some of the posts here might indicate why such things occur. Fact is, that car coming at you with bright lights is displaying ignorance and discourtesy, but he/she is not challenging your manhood or inviting you to demonstrate that you can match his ignorance.
