I just took my 92 F150 off the road so I can do some work on it. I am now driving a little 93 Hyundai excel. I went from climbing down to get out,to climbing up to get out. I gotta say one thing. It sure is bright down there. I can't even use the rear view mirror without sunglasses. But it does get close to 40mpg. I think I'm going to put light sensor blinds on the hatch back window.
Got stuck in front of some nimrod today who decided that because I wasn't oncoming traffic, it'd be okay to light up his highs. Wouldn't you know it, karma made an appearance in the form of a trooper in the eastbound lane. He spun around and lit his lights up. I start pulling to the side and the a-double-ess-hole slides right on by me and damned if that tropper didn't start squalking his siren and had that guy pulled over not a quarter mile further on.
On the flipside, both before and after that guy was behind me, I kept getting flashed. I know my lights were dim because it was snowing and highs reflect that much more against the snow, causing a glare. I checked my aim when I got home and it was fine. I'll check it again this afternoon before we leave for work, but I doubt I'll find anything. I thought they might have been warning me about the trooper, but I never spotted that reflective yellow stripe. If he'd been in the bud, I'd have beaten anything he could have pulled me over for: they're supposed to remain visible (crime deterrence and safety issues). Now that I think about it, I'm wondering how much salt has crusted up on the lenses making the lights look awfully dim. Oh, well. I'll get to it before work.
Let me get this straight, you raised your truck and now your dims are shining in peoples eyes. So you say it's their fault that they flip their lights at you? It sounds to me that you're the light abuser.
Nope, not a light abuser. I never use the brights. The lights were adjusted to the correct level by the Ford dealer, they're right.

Texas, don't let it bother you. I have a bone stock '95 F-150 and people blink at me with the low beams on. I guess in this day & age of ricers & hybrids people have forgotten what a truck looks like.
On a side note, ever ridden a motorcycle? Even those little ricers & hybrids' lights seem bright.
I have been agitated more than once. But I try to do my part in sharing the road with these center line hugging folks and try to keep my patience.
You are supposed to ride on the left side of the lane when your on your bike. this keeps you away from gravel from driveways and also forces everyone else to give you more room. I am sorry guys but it really chaps my rear when people beat up on riders. WE get run over, people pull right out in front of us, follow to close and pass way to close. we cant ride in the center of the lane due to all the oil. Man that burns me up!!! Here we are, on a motorcycle and cant use the entire lane and we have to ride in such a way to force everyone else to respect our space and now we are in the way? Give me a friggin break

Already been done by the Ford dealer. Still get dummies blinking at me.

That was before or after the lift ?
After the lift. The problem is that there are tons of people driving little cracker box cars and they don't realize that they are down on the ground where the light is.
This is one subject that heats me up! Here in Las Vegas we have the Nuclear Scientists who have figured out how to have their fogs on with their brites. Absolute freaking geniouses. 1. There is never any FOG in Las Vegas, turn OFF your fogs. 2. Driving with your brites on and fogs on, in oncoming traffic makes you a MORON!
But todays society produces MORONS, living on six inch centers any more. Ya just cannot get away from them!

Years ago, I had a semi with AIRCRAFT LANDING LIGHTS! Had a few stupid morons try to flash me,,,, I flashed them ACL's ,,,, as the song goes,,,,
"BOOM,BOOM,OUT GO THE LIGHTS!"
I liked them so much, Mounted me a set on my truck FRONT & BACK! Got rid of a lot of tailgaters too! My Dad asked me what were the 2 switches were for, I lit up the neighborhood! If I'm not mistaken, @ 1 Million C.P. each!
Those people who don't dim their lights to oncoming traffic are probably the same people who refuse to get out of the middle lane on the highway... those middle lane bandit gearboxes drive me nuts..
