what trans ya got?4sp or auto?what engine's in there now?i had a 9 in my old 81 i used for a tow rig its not that hard of a swap.even got one in my 85 now
youll need a c-6 from a 351/400m or 429/460 to start off with.also need a double drop oil pan with the pickup tube,460 truck exuast manifolds, and engine mounts.the mounts can be had from autozone for 50 bucks/pair.when you get done with this itll get around 10 mpg but since your 17 ya probaby got a heavy foot(i did at that age lol)5-8mpg is more like it
when asking for parts it would be wise to post your location. If you click "user CP" ....edit profile...add your location. It will show up above your post count.
they didn't put 460 in untill 84 if it is a 4x4 the oil filter needs to be relocated or block up the motor 3/4 in andyou need a 45 degree oil filter mount from a van with a 460 this will work or modify the cross frame
