Forums on FSB (full Size Bronco) has people with after market stripes for NITE Broncos and trucks.

FSB 1992 NITE, 114,000 mi. and yes they came in FWD, and could have an 300 CI 6cyl, 302, the main engine was a 5.8, 351 W. 4shocks front, sway bars both ends. 31X10.50X15 tires standard with a Eddie Baurer style trim package. There were a few made in 1991 with the flat nose, these were 91&1/2 modles. I worked for Ford Motor Company, Light Truck Division.

92nite351, I have to correct you on this. They were not the first lightning, they may have used a couple styling cues but there were no performance upgrades. The sway bar you mention could be ordered on any F-150 with the towing suspension. Mine had a light rear suspension, not sure on teh gear ratio but I know if the rear broke loose only one tire spun. Don't get me wrong I like these trucks but lets not make them into something they are not.

the 351 in these trucks were done a little better than stock. i will get ahold of the guy who told me about these trucks. the motor had a little more power and a little more torque from what he explained to me. the rear sway bar was bigger than the one u could order 4 the xlt with tow package. thats why it was called sport suspension. the guy who tought me about these owned a 92 f150 and 92 bronco. both nite editions. he also worked 4 the dealership in my home town 4 years. im just telling you what he said to me. if he was wrong then i dont no why he would give me the wrong info, i want buying nothing from him or the dealership and my buddy owned a 92 nite reg cab short bed 4wd with the 351 auto also. so i appolagize 4 my info in the case i was misinformed

No harm no foul, I'm into ford mavericks also and I hear all the time about boss mavs and 4-speed mavs and 4bl mavs, all of which never exsisted, at least not from Ford, and some worked for Ford or at a dealership, etc.... You could get the sport suspension on other trucks and I know my 2wd flareside Nite didn't have the sport suspension, it didn't even have a front sway bar. Just seems we all want what we have to be special, not that a Nite isn't cool but I think take yours and make it special.

I had a 92 Nite Flareside, 5.0 auto, 3.73 gears. I cant say for sure if they had any internal tweaks to make them snappier than a standard truck 5.0, but mine was running 16.2 at the strip, with an inexperienced drag driver. Unfortuneatly, sold it to a guy close to where I work, and had to watch it fall apart because the ******* would not even wax 'blackie'. Sure it has had its date with the crusher or recycler by now and I fell sorry for it.
