nite package ????
Taylon, you are right you cannot purchase original nite decals or stripes any longer from a dealer. There are a few Nite logo's, I have seen on E-bay ( Bedside & Tailgate ). But as far as I know, Supercab Longbox stripes do not exist.....I think they were called Agean blue & Wisteria, Or simply put Blue & purple.
Talon,
Thats what you would call them "Extended cab"---- Not Supercab. If so my mistake. I thought Ford only made (Std. Cabs) --- (Supercabs meaning front buckets & console and rear bench seat but no rear doors) & then---(King Cabs front seats and full size rear seats with full size rear doors). Is this correct??? I need to replace cab corners and that's what the body shop called it S/C. New to this FTE site not trying to argue just want to be sure.

The truck is an original Nite Truck that was re-painted, it used to have the pink/red decals. It was from just out of town and was owned by the previous person for some time.
If the truck doesn't say NITE on the dash, I wouldn't believe him.
The only other tell tail sign you can check is the headlight trim. It should be black plastic, not painted and rounded. The NITE light trim was squared like, not rounded.
Extended on the fords means cab and 1/2.
King Cab isn't one I have heard.
There are a few names for the 4doors though.
Crew cab is probably the best way to explain it.
Ford calls it a crew cab.

I know this post is a little old but My NITE truck, a 92 flareside, had chrome mirrors from the factory, black plastic rings around the outside but chrome facing forward. Also, I don't know about 91 but my headlight rings were just like the others except for being black molded, the same shape as the chrome or argent ones. And I think they probably made quite a few of these. I remeber seeing many of these running around in the early 90's, many more than the Gen 1 Lightnings. This where I derived my handle from Nite + Lightning = niteling but that won't fit on my staes plate so I changed it to Nytling, 92 being the year.
The moldings were similar around the headlights, but they were not the same.
Chrome ones are rounded, the NITE's had a boxy style trim around the lights.
The chrome deal in 92 might have been because of those crappy *** mirrors they came out with. They didn't chrome the ones in 91 and just painted them black, left the aluminum aluminum color, and the brackets were painted black.
In 92, they switched to the gay mirrors on the 150's, and they probably didn't care enough to put a black backer on the mirrors instead of that chrome POS.
Only 91 and 92 for the nites, and the lightning came in 93. There were not many though.
All the NITES seem to be poping out everywhere, I'm really dissapointed to see a lot of them get thrown in the scrap yard, but if its all rusted out, ****** the motor and the badging and toss it.
Well, headlights too. They dont sell for much, but if you want to make your own, they will be helpfull. =)
Oh, 92 was the year they changed headlights as well, so they might have went with a different trim around them and made it more rounded.
I figured they would use the same trim, seeing as the actually light profile didn't change, just the setup of the lights.
I like the 91 nites way better then the 92's.

OH HELL NO, you didn't go there. 92s look way better than 91s.
But yes the Mickey Mouse ear looking mirrors had to go. What mirror did the 91s have.
And the whole front end was different on the 92, same as the 92 to 96 so I don't understand what you are saying in these regards.
Does anyone have a figure on how many made? I know the Lightning came out in 93, I was just saying that the Lightning was supposed to be a small # but I bet in the 2 years of the Nite there were more made than all 3 years of the Lightning.
My 92 also didn't have any motor badging to grab, just floor mats, outside stickers, and a striped trim across the dash that ended in a NITE badge.

No, there never was any motor badging
The 91 and 92 interior were different, so the 91's just had a NITE piece on the dash where it would normally say XLT.
I've never looked in a 92, I'll stop in the local town and look at the one that is sitting there so I can be more knowledgeable. =)
The front Isn't so much different on a 91 to a 92 if you sit them side by side.
I believe the Hood may be different though, lights and grille are for sure.
No idea on the number.
Far as I know it was just a package you could request on top of the rest.
Which if that's true, it makes any motor upgrades null.
Bronco or F-150 only.
I really want a bronco, they are rare. I've seen 2.
