its not a mud dragster!!! d*mn if i hit 90mph on i truck this tall i dont know what the h*ll would happen, i only considered the dual cases because i know that a bunch of trucks that size, and with that big and bigger tires run them, all i know is that when you completely have a 53" or whatever size tire go under mud, you need a lot a gear/torque to get them things spinnen enough to clear the voids in the v-treads.

well i am very glad you are aware of this!
however he is not saying that you have to be a dragster or your truck is actually gonna be runnin 90mph down the highway, however you DO need a lot of wheelspeed to keep up momentum. i think you would only be hurting yourself doubling cases. in fact i doubt you'd ever need the 3:1 kit in the 205! i remember in my white truck with 39's i could easily get up 70-75 mph wheelspeed in lo-range and that kept me from getting stuck most times!
what transmission are you running? i am curious to calculate your final drive ratio depending on what case you run!
im not sure what kind is in it now its a stock 5spd, since im going with the 205 or 200 im runnin a C6,
how did you hit 70mph in low range, i know with the tranny i have now and the 208 in low i got to like 55-60 in 5th overdrive and thats at some scary rpm
Right now you have a Mazda 5spd in your truck. If you are serious about the 24" + lift and 53" tires, you need something that will handle them. The 347 stroker will hold out for a while, but not long....You need a 460 minimum, Np435 or C6, 205 tcase to handle it.
I'm just wondering what your redline is on your 347?
the 347 isn't for this truck, even though it would def be bad a** its got somewhere around 500hp w/o the juice, im def. not keeping that little 6 cylinder in it i have a 460, a c6 and a 205 ready to go in, and my uncle is building my 513ci, that will def turn em.
