blue cps. I have one for a dt466e

My question is are these cps(dt466e) the same cps thats in our t444? the part number for my dt466e cps is 1807339c92. I am almost shur that the magnet in this is a little stronger than the cps thats in ours thus making the reading a little quicker. I am not 100 percent but anyone who knows more about this please please let me know. thanks again

I am pretty sure the "improved" blue cps is for the 466 motor. Someone figured out it it the same basic design and used it on their 7.3. I think you need to shim it for proper clearance in out 94-97 motors though.

It is for the 6 cylinder, but some use it on the 7.3. It will change the timing a bit for more lower end. Some like it and some don't. Some say it runs smoother, and some say it runs rough. ?????????? Try it and you decide. It only takes about 5 minutes to change it.

I used one in my 97, and there was no need to shim. If you have a late model 97 it will be the same for you. I like it, works good lasts long time.

I too used the blue CPS on my 97 and worked great smoother running and maybe a little extra torque.

Good to hear its working for you. I have read that it will advance your timing a little and people with stock trucks notice an increase in power and smoother idle. Others that have programing dont like them too much.
