Hey guys I need a little help locateing the intake air temp sensor on my 05 V10 EX. I tried a search on this forum but didnt see any thing that would help. I was told that it was 2 wires But all I see by the MAF is 3 wire plug any help would be appreciated. Im trying out the mod where you defeat the IAT sensor to make it think its getting more cold air. I already installed the Banks Ram Air and filter.
Does the ZooDaddy mod help also? Thanks
Why would you want to do something like that? I know there is a sensor in the air box. At least there is one for our turbo diesel trucks. I wouldn't try fool the IAT. You could have detonation that gets expensive. Get a tune for running 93 octane and be happy.
This mod has been around for awhile I think its called the X10 mod. I have a 2000 EX psd that I did this too .Its been in for about 4 years now no problems. And the reason I want this is more cold air = more power
Yes, more cold air = more power. What you are trying to do is fool the ECM into thinking that the air is colder than it is. Therefore, it thinks that timing advance is ok. If detonation occures, it will back the timing off. However, until it does, some damage might have occurred. If you want more power from cold air, get more cold air but don't try fool the sensor.
