Hard Shifts?
hey guys. i got a ? only yall can answer. i got a 1996 f250 powerstroke with the banks system on it. on my way home from work this morning, the battery guage went all the way to the left and the check engine light flashed on and off 3 times. at the same time the rpms dropped to 300 and the lights dimmed. this was a 5 sec time period where all this happened. now for the bad, after this whole endevor the overdrive off light came on and would not stop blinking. the tranny is shifting real hard in all 4 gears. any ideas on how to fix it. thx. ps my ford dealer sucks so id like to avoid them.

It sounds like a charging system failure at first if I read your post right. With low voltage to the sensors anything is possible.
Remove the banks system and return the truck to stock just to eliminate the Banks doing funny stuff.
Are you getting a check engine light? If so, get the codes and return back here for help.
