mpg help.

I'll give you credit for trying your best. Nowadays, the fashionable thing seems to be filing a discrimination lawsuit against companies who have the audacity to not have someone's language in their menu. <sigh>
MPG-wise, my truck gets about 16 mpg daily driving and 20 on the highway. My exhaust is fairly restrictive, though, (only 2 inches) and I think I might gain 2 mpg when I get it opened up to 4 inches and gain some power as well. I don't do much hauling and have yet to do any towing so I could conceivably dial in my fuel screw and gain a little mileage and deal with the subsequent power loss. But since you tow a trailer routinely, that might not be a good option for you.
Installing a K&N air filter is supposed to be a good idea for the IDIs, too. I've heard complaints from PowerStroke owners about the K&N filters because the system senses the increased airflow and delivers more fuel to compensate. My brother's friend lost 3 mpg when he installed a K&N on his newer PS. He put the stock air filter back in and the mileage went right back to normal.
Other than that, there's not a lot to be done to gain mpg with these engines.
