I am ordering mine on monday. I can't wait to get it installed. I just hope I don't break anything with all the newfound power.

I agree it isnt funny. I don't know if I can wait till Spring for my tuner either with all this talk. Then again I can't even make up my mind what tunes I want anyways. Just can't figure out if I should get 60 tow or 40 tow.

Get them both, 60 tow for the lighter tow's, then 40 tow for the heavy tows, that's what Diane recommend for me. ( 40 tow for my 11,000 lbs tt)

Once I get my ATS housing and then eventually a SPEARCO IC I will add the 60tos to the mix.

Got mine a bit back but I had the 60HP Tow tune put on it. I was new to the PS stuff so I decided to drop $75 to test it out. If it didn't work out, I would have Ford reflash it and call it a day. There is tape over the port so no tech can flash it without my say so. The PCM flash port is guarded by Glock 21. May just get the F5 later.

Just a few notes on the F5.
Just got back from Arizona. Max speed on my GPS is now 100mph in a head wind. I'm thinking of getting V rated tires now with 20 inch rims. Had a lot more in it even at 100mph gps.
First time saw the speedo flip back to 0 when pegged. Flipped back up when I let off.
It now spools up in overdrive at 1500 rpms, and takes off without downshifting. Before I had to wait until it was at 2000 rpms.
I had it on cruise control in 80econ, and the pedal is a lot less sensitive when pressed. Almost like a different tune.
When turning on the headlights at cruising speeds, there a sudden drop of 200 rpms and back up to normal again. Scared me the first time it happened. I don't worry about it.
Was real cold and raining in Mesa, so ran it on stock tune on the streets. A lot quieter and warmed up faster. During a 60 minute idle when it was snowing, had it on high idle. Kept the EGTs at 300deg.
Spent 2 days in a campground. Every night idled it in stock for 4 hrs until I turned in. Hi idle would be too loud. EGTs was 250.
Accelerating up the on ramps, I'm at 80 in the left lane before you know it. Easily pulls ahead of anything coming up in the right lane. This is not even WOT cause I don't need it.
Check engine light went on. 1211 code and cleared it. This is normal for a chip. It was the only code.
Never saw the EGTs past 800 preturbo on this run. Outside temps 38-50.

the tuner i got from a friend that had the same pickup as mine and its just got the **** to adjust the tunes. is it possible to put that fancy new display on this older chip? sure would be nice to know what tune its in at a glance.
