With the Ford 195* thermostat in there, it doesnt fully heat up to the temperature that International designed it to run. It likes to run up near 210* oil temp, and coolant temp slightly lower than that. The PSD's like it hot, and i leave my full-front cold front in until temps reach 50-60* around here, it really makes her run alot better.

Chill dudes!

Chill dudes! (Like that? - deliberate/intentional pun!).

No Illinois boys versus the Aussies, I already got Tim Admin, cyber chewin on my somewhat ample butt, & wanting to ban me - lets not give him any more excuses, today!

Cheers and enjoy your snow!

Looks that way doesn't it.

Where are you in Jtown? I lived in Joliet my whole life till I moved to the boonies a couple of years ago. Most of my family still lived up there though. Up there, like it's far away or something. LOL.

Thanks for the info Strokin. Maybe I'll take a ride up to Auto Zone for a 203 if I get too bored

cool I'm 10 years later. The first year of h.s. phs was the old catholic high in Joliet (my dad & uncles old stomping ground) because of the tornado in 1990. I remember that we had a 3 or 4 week christmas break that year so they could move everything into the new building. It was kinda nice

Be very very sure it is a long stem version of the 203* thermostat. the short stem version will not close the bypass disk in the pump and will cause the rear of the block to overheat with no warning signs untill you need a new motor.

Wow, didn't know about that Maybe I'll just order it with a billet neck from someone in the Know instead of trusting those in the UNKNOWN at Auto Zone.

Gotta love progress. That's why I bought 5 acres with flood plain on 3 sides in the boonies. Not much potential for a neighborhood right next to me.
