CPS Question
I'm confused. When you guys start asking someone that's having running problems about their CPS. I've noticed you usually ask if the Tach is moving while cranking. I'm not having any running problems, that I know of, and my tach doesn't move while I'm cranking it. Is it suposed to? Is this a sign of an upcoming failure?

Mine is a 99 & it does not move either.. and runs great. Also just replaced my CPS about 8 months ago.. Like Alan says, it not a very good test. Just keep a spare in your glove box..

OK, I feel a little better now. I changed mine a couple of years ago when I had a pcm problem, so I still have the original. It had about 35000 miles of use. The one I have in there now has been good for another 115000
