The Easco that I aquired was used.

As far as I have been told by NAPA employees, NAPA TOOLS are KD.

Its my understanding that NAPA tools are made by Danaher which owns KD. I think they have put the KD brand under Armstrong recently. So does that mean NAPA stuff is Armstrong? Or is it an uspecified group such as the one that makes the Craftsman stuff? I don't know at this point.

Lets see Snap-on impact sockets, craftsman ratchets and wrenches, westward wrenches, Ingersoll Rand air tools, Browne & Sharpe, and Starrett at work and mostly craftsman at home for hand tools and dewalt for power tools. Usually buy cheaper brands if they are an occasional(less than 6 times a year)use item. The sears warranty is awesome, but I must confess I like thier older designs better. Snap-on is expensive, but extremely nicely built and they sometimes make tools that no one else does.

(lottsa' tools)... Ingersoll Rand air tools ... (lottsa' more tools...)
Ingersoll Rand is outstanding -- mo' money but they take mo' hard use.

One of mine is an I.Rand 5" Model B grinder, electric. I hafta' brace that sucker with both arms and a leg, it could cut through the Deception Pass bridge here.

If I fed it enough wheels.

And a HF 9" grinder for the deep cuts, couldn't afford the big I.Rand.

That's lotsa' tools you have, 19903934x4, and a nice truck too. You have plenty of room in your shop to fit them?
...That's getting to be a prob here...but guess that's another topic.

I thought this was a hand tool pool. Power tools . . . air and electric . . . are a different game.

As of right now, I don't plan on making a sticky out of this, but we'll see where it goes.
Also, keep in mind this is for information to all, so don't knock anybody's choices.
It's a public poll, and multiple choice, but don't go nuts and click off everything.
Looks like any tool does it.

Look at the poll choices. This poll got started because Eco had a series of threads asking about various tool companies, SK, SnapOn, Armstrong, Kokbalt, Stanely etc and said he should have done a poll or something. Hand tool polls and air tool/electric tools are too different subjects. They aren't typically life time guaranteed/warrantied where as the big discussion with the various had tool brand is quality, breakage and warranty replacement.

Well I'd have to say that if I was only talking about handtools with regards to overall performance;ie- how they fit your hand, resistance to breakage, how well they fit fastners, finish, breakage, cost and warranty then I would vote sears craftsman. Cost no object then I'd go snap-on.

Yo RexB, it is alot of tools, and there are lots more I want! Thankfully they are split between work and home. If not my shop would be even more full than it is now. New house though, have to build shelving and cupboards to hide the mess!LOL

Other for me...

99.9% Craftsman in the hand tool box. Most of the air tools are Central and most of the power tools are Craftsman Pro or DeWalt. Largest reason I stick with Craftsman is that if something does happen, there is a Sears in every town and I can get it replaced a lot easier than with most of the other companies that are doing Lifetime warranties now. I have broken a few at times, but most times has been because of abuse, not tool failure. I've found the Central's to work well for the cost and the amount of use they get. Especially for the cost. If I worked with them daily, I would probably get something better.

Mostly Craftsman for hand tools, IR for air tools and a hand full of other brands for odds and ends.
