Craftsman crossforce wrenches

Has anyone tried the new Craftsman crossforce wrenches? I believe I have seen the same style in other brands also. They look like a interesting concept, but looks sometimes are decieving.

Glad you asked! Maybe it is just me but I do not see any reason for them, not able to piggy back with another wrench for a little leverage.

Gear Wrench is a Danaher company, so they are probably the same tooling. Since Danaher supplies the Craftsman wrenches

I suppose if I was in the market for a set of wrenches they would be worth a look, but to add them to an existing wrench set, BAAHH! I fell for them Bob Villa wrenches from years back where the open end works kinda like a ratchet, how dumb, they got stolen, and I got insurance money no loss there. Try em your satifaction is guaranteed or your money back.

Yeah I bought the open end ratchet wrench also. Waste of money, but I'm kind of a fool for a different style of wrench. I thought maybe these twist type ones might be more comfortable though when pulling hard.

That's the idea, and they are better to pull on.

It depends on if you are talking about the classic raised panel or the smooth professional series and whether it is an 8, 9, 12, 14 or 26 piece set or the hugemongous wrenches. Pricey is relative.

I will adventually buy them, but for now if I need a twist style lever wrench; I'm heating one of my straight box/open end and using it; and then its a possible candiate for return time to my local Sear's for a replacement. LOL

Ok I just got a Matco promo today, a 10pc metric combo wrench set on sale for $213.95 nothing special just the standard lenth polished.

Sears Pro full polish 13pc metric long pattern personalized $99.99, which would you rather buy? Both are made by Danaher.

At least for me the Matco guy lets us slide if we don't have any cash to give him, so that makes the price not such a big issue, just pay what you can.
