Speakers.... and audio gear in general.. is rated in watts, not amps. The factory speakers are only 10 or 15 watts, but will handle the power output from a decent aftermarket head unit rated 50w. But they don't sound that great, and can be greatly improved upon with just about anything aftermarket that fits. Don't put any kind of subs in your doors.. BTW, the rattling and buzzing will drive you nuts. I put 8" kickers in the lower portion of my '89 doors and had to take them out.

Man go buy you some sony or alpines....clear as day and dont hesitate to buy yourself a good headunit...pioneers work fine if your gonna go the cheap route...dont buy no junk at walmart like roadgear or jenson or durabrand...thats a waste of money...go look on ebay motors under the audio section they got some good cheap speakers to fit your needs...audiobahn,sony,punch,kicker,alpine,Mb quart...audiobahns will probably be the cheapest....make sure to measure the face of your speaker for the correct size...stock is 5 3/4" but correct me if I am wrong I cut mine to fit a 6inch and then bought some 6x9s for the door and cut the door panel probably exactly where Conan put his eights...I am abit of an audiophile and I love 3d sound....dont go to cheap on your speakers because it will burn you in the long run
