97 PSD Will Not Start after installing EDGE Programmer
A friend of my brother has a 97 PSD 4x4 Auto with 275K miles on it. He was in the process of installing an Edge Programmer and something went wrong. He went to install level two and the programmer recommended and EGT Gauge. Since he does not have an EGT Gauge he went back to level one.
His truck will not start now and he is getting a relay clicking under the dash. He change the relay with no help. He has also checked all the fuses and they are all good.
The truck cranks over and the wait to start light does not go out.
Disconnect the batteries for 15 Mins and that will reset the pcm and maybe fix your prob. also use the programer to read your codes and see what it comes up with.

does this prog. plug into the obo port or the pcm?
With the chip out, does the WTS light go out? if it does does it make that clicking noise still? another nobrainer make sure hte truck is in park! just though of that.

No the WTS light stays on. When he plugged the programmer back in to see if he could fix it the programmer said there was an error in the system. He is going to Edge a call to see if they can help.
It looks like Edge is going to come through. They are sending a programmer that will put the stock program back on the truck. They are also replacing the original programmer so we can install the performance program back on.
thats pretty nice of them to do. i also run an edge evolution and i like it. i would suggest getting the pyro and boost gauges because for me the truck runs much better on 80 horse. it helps mileage to. i get 15 mpg in town with no chip, 17 on 60 horse, and 18.5 on 80 horse setting. i've never had a problem with my egt's getting hot but its nice to be able to check on that. the truck also performs much smoother on 80 horse
